An international bus flight will be launched from Turkestan to Samarkand

In order to develop trade, economic and tourist relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2019, the direct international bus route Turkestan-Samarkand will be launched. It is reported by the press service of the Akim of Turkestan region.

Also this year, twice a week, the high-speed train "Turkestan-Shymkent" began to run for 175 passengers. Ticket price - 609 KZT. The train departs from Shymkent on Mondays at 5.45 am, from Turkestan on Fridays at 7.25 pm.

In addition the socially significant railway routes Turkestan-Badam and Turkestan-Saryagash were launched in 2019. Trains run five times a week. The cost of the ticket for the train "Turkestan - Badam" - 609 KZT, "Turkestan - Saryagash" – 1,114 KZT.

In the region, passenger transportation services are provided by 44 transport companies (with a fleet of 1,224 small buses). The permanent transport network consists of 325 destinations according to 1,090 schedules. Last year, 18 new transport flights were launched in the Turkestan region. This was announced by the head of the department of passenger transport and highways of the Turkestan region Bekzat Tlegenov.
